We raise Shiba Inu dogs and have them shown. A handler we use, suggested that the RAW diet would improve coats and teeth. So, with her help, we switched.

Before this time, we originally fed a better brand of kibbles, and then a rice/meat/veggie mix which was cooked. The RAW diet proved easy to feed, the dogs do well on it, and love to eat.

We even switched (cold turkey by the way) our 17 year old cocker. She had ear infections most of her life, bad breath and dry skin at this point. She was also getting arthritic to the point where we were considering euthanasia. After she adjusted to the food (about 2 days) she never looked back. Her ear infections disappeared, skin and coat improved and best of all she bounced around like a puppy again, enjoying life. She lived to see 21 years. That experience sold us on the RAW diet.

We also bought a 9 year old male stud dog who had been on kibbles all his life. He arrived late at night after a 6 hour plane trip. We gave him a small amount of our "CHICKEN FULL MEAL". Well, the look on his face was priceless "should I eat this or ?????". He took a bit of time to figure out what to do with a "REAL BONE", but grew to love that treat.

People who saw our dogs were impressed with the results of the food. Friends started asking were they could get it. So we next started distributing products from various suppliers.

We then started to process food for our own dogs and soon had people wanting our "Full Meal".

We did an amazing amount in our kitchen with 1.5 hp grinder and filling bags by hand.

This became too much to handle, so we let it be known that we would like to expand but needed working capital. We incorporated Top Hand Supplies, sold shares, bought equipment, a walk-in freezer and cooler, and acquired a building. We processed our first "batch" on March 6, 2004. The business is evolving quickly and will never be stagnant. We are moving further a field, but as long as Stu and I are in control, we promise to keep our products of the highest quality. This means searching out top notch "raw" products to begin with and then processing them in a competent manner.
